Transfer Application Procedures

Visit apply.wisconsin.edu to start your application

This website provides step by step instructions to apply to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Admission to UW Oshkosh does not guarantee admission to the student’s intended college, major or program. Please visit the website for your intended major or program to determine if there are any additional admission requirements or application procedures.

Step 1: Apply to UW Oshkosh

Transfer students may apply online at https://apply.wisconsin.edu. A paper application may also be obtained from any high school guidance office in Wisconsin or by contacting the admissions office.

Students are required to list all post-secondary schools they have attended. Failure to list all previously attended schools is considered academic dishonesty. Failure to disclose and submit transcripts from all colleges attended, even if no transferable credit was earned, may result in denial of admission or dismissal from the university.

UW Oshkosh does not have any application deadlines.

  • Students interested in attending in Fall 2017 should begin their application as soon as possible.
  • Applications for the Spring 2018 term opened July 1, 2017. If you are planning to apply for spring 2018, we recommend you apply by September 1st to ensure you are ready to enroll for spring courses in October.

Step 2: Submit a $50 Nonrefundable Application Fee

Submit a $50 nonrefundable application fee. If you are applying as a degree-seeking student to UW Oshkosh, the nonrefundable application fee of $50 is required. This is payable at the end of your online application. If the last institution you attended was a UW College (two-year campus), the application fee will be waived.

Step 3: Send Your College/University Transcripts

Submit an official transcript from all colleges or universities previously attended. An official high school transcript is also required if a student has earned fewer than 30 transferable college credits at the time they apply OR if the student has exclusively earned college credit from a technical college. Your application will not be complete until all transcripts are received.

All application materials should be sent to:

UW Oshkosh Admissions Office
PO Box 2423
Oshkosh, WI 54903-2423

Any paperwork that is sent express/overnight by any company other than US postal services, should be sent to the following address:

UW Oshkosh Admissions Office
800 Algoma Boulevard
Oshkosh, WI 54901

Note: UPS, FedEx, Airborne, etc. DO NOT deliver to PO Box addresses.

Step 4: Once You Are Admitted, Pay the $100 Enrollment Deposit and Follow Your Next Steps

It is important that you check the email account you provided on your application. After you have been admitted, applicants will receive an email that includes a link for you to pay the $100 tuition deposit online. * Your $100 deposit is not an additional fee; it is a credit toward your fall tuition and is refundable prior to July 1, 2016 with a written request. If this deposit is a financial barrier, please email transfer@uwosh.edu to request the deposit be deferred. Click here for more information on your post-admission steps.
