Major: Human Resources and Spanish
Hometown: Madison, WI (Born in Phoenix, AZ)
Bio: Hi friends, Ally here! I’m a sophomore here at UWO currently living in Taylor residence hall. I am studying human resources and Spanish with the hopes of getting my first internship this summer back in my hometown! I love ALL things chocolate, especially brownie sundaes from Titan Underground (put it on your bucket list for when you come here…you won’t regret it). My favorite part of UWO is all the people I have had the opportunity to meet through the many ways you can get involved on campus. Currently, I am involved with volleyball intramurals, art club, hall government, and InterVarsity. Although it may sound cliché, I sincerely can’t imagine my life without UW Oshkosh. I am forever proud to call myself a Titan! Have questions? Fantastic, they’re my favorite! Please don’t hesitate to ask me!
Major: Secondary Education English
Hometown: Dodgeville, WI
Bio: Hello! My name is Alex and I’m a junior here at UWO studying secondary education English. I am very involved with the many different organizations on campus! This upcoming semester I will be serving on my sorority’s executive board as our Vice President of Operations and I will be serving on Panhellenic Council as Vice President of Recruitment. I am also involved with the English club on campus. I love being able to stay so involved on campus. UW Oshkosh is my home. Before coming here freshman year I was so nervous to be away from my home, but now that I am here I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. If you have any questions feel free to ask me, I am here to help! I couldn’t imagine my life without my Titan family and I am so excited to see where this crazy adventure takes me!
Major: Journalism with a double emphasis in Advertising and Visual
Hometown: Waunakee, WI
Bio: Hi there! My name is Ashley and I am a junior at UW Oshkosh. My major is journalism with a double emphasis in advertising and visual and my minor is art. I hope to work in the creative department for an ad agency when I graduate. I am the marketing chair of the public relations society on campus, as well as vice president of finances for the advertising club. In my free time, you can find me working on homework in Sage Hall while enjoying a Starbucks drink from campus or playing intramural soccer and volleyball weeknights with my friends! A few of my favorite things here on campus are the outdoor adventure center which has endless equipment to rent out and enjoy, Titan Nights in Reeve Union, and the delicious food options at Titan Underground. UW Oshkosh has allowed me to broaden my interests and make new friends along the way. I’m glad I joined the Titan family.
Major: Elementary Education
Hometown: Schaumburg, IL
Bio: Hello! My name is Dana and I am in my final year here at UW Oshkosh. I chose UWO because of its affordability, academic excellence and vast educational opportunities, and it is a beautiful, sustainable campus. Because of UW Oshkosh, I will be working with Teach for America in the fall of 2017 where I will be teaching students in Northwest Indiana. I am so grateful for my time at UW Oshkosh. Hail Titans!
Hometown: Schaumburg, IL
Bio: What’s up! My name is Ebisa, I’m a senior here at UW Oshkosh, and I hope to work in some aspect of social media once I graduate. I love to play basketball, listen to endless amounts of music (you will always catch me with my headphones in), and just hang out with friends. I have made a lot of friends here! The best thing about being a student at UWO is that everyone you meet is so genuine and friendly. I love walking around campus because it has such a good feel. The time I’ve had here has been amazing, and I’m looking forward to the rest.
Minor: Music Industry
Hometown: Anoka, MN
Bio: Yo! I’m a senior at UWO, and over the course of my time here I’ve had the joy of investing in my talents of video production, audio recording, and photography. I’m known for my loves of playing music with friends, playing Spikeball, and eating chocolate chip pancakes. Over the course of my college career, I’ve had the chance to travel to Asia, mix and master an album, host a live TV show, and make short films. If you have any questions on how you can learn to make movies, music, or great pancakes, I’m your guy!
Major: Journalism (Visual)
Hometown: Oshkosh, WI
Bio: Hi! My name is Kathryn and I’m a senior at UWO! My major is journalism with a visual emphasis, but I’m going to be a graphic designer when I graduate! I have an incredible internship that is basically my dream job: graphic design, branding, social media, advertising, marketing, and more. In my free time, I love to play and listen to music, and you can always find me wearing headphones or playing guitar or piano. I also really enjoy going to open mics, getting coffee at my favorite cafe, and hanging out with my friends.
Going to college at UW Oshkosh has been great for me. I love being on campus, and it’s made me a lot more confident and outgoing. If you have any questions about the journalism department, music, art/design, college life in general, finding things to do around Oshkosh, or the LGBTQ resource center on campus, ask me!
Major: Public Relations
Hometown: Waukesha, WI
Bio: Hello! My name is Katie, and I’m a junior at UWO! My major is public relations, and my minor is radio TV film! My dream is to work in the entertainment industry when I graduate, possibly with Warner Brothers, ABC or NBC. I’d love to be a publicist for an A-list celebrity. One of the reasons I love going to UWO is because I can be involved in clubs and organizations. Currently, I’m the president of the public relations society, news caster on WRST-FM, production member of Titan TV, and a member of Reeve Union Board. I love meeting people who have similar interests, and this is how I make new friends, too! In my free time, I watch Netflix, (currently hooked on ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy”) scroll through my social media platforms, eat anything potato related, and hang out with some of my fellow Titans!
Major: Biology with a health care emphasis
Hometown: Stevens Point, WI
Bio: Hello, my name is Marshall, and I’m in my junior year here at UWO. With my major and minor I plan on going on to chiropractic school to obtain my doctorate. I have been drawn to the medical field from a very young age and actually started as a nursing student at UWO. Although I did love nursing, I found that I was even more passionate for holistic medicines with an emphasis on form, function, and interaction of body systems. I found chiropractic to be the perfect fit. My time at UWO has been amazing and all of my professors have proven time and time again that I made the right choice when I came here. Additionally, I love to get involved in campus and I am currently the President of Sigma Pi fraternity, and also participate in Biology Club and Pre-chiropractic club. If I’m not in class or a meeting, you will find me at the Rec center or just hanging out with friends. I listen to a lot of music from virtually every genre, and love spending time outdoors. If you have any science, Greek Life, or medical questions, or just want to hear some random fact, ask for Marshall!
Major: International Studies and German
Minor: European Studies and French
Hometown: Franklin, WI
Bio: You are now officially on the best part of this blog, my bio! I am a sophomore here at UWO, and after reading my majors and minors you probably think I’m insane. I probably am, but I love learning about other countries, cultures, and languages. Ever since I started learning German at the age of four, I was hooked! Now that I am in college I thought I would pick up another language. This year I joined the Model United Nations Team here at UWO, which is actually one of the best teams in the world! Furthermore, I will be studying abroad in Ireland and Germany this summer. If you have questions about foreign language, studying abroad or the international studies program here at UWO or just want to talk about international issues, learning languages or traveling, ask for Max!
Major: Political Science & Spanish
Hometown: New London, WI
Bio: Hey everyone, it’s Ruby! For as long as I could remember I have always wanted to make an impact on my community. I have found here on campus there is no better way to do just that than by getting involved on campus. I am involved with Greek Life and the Student Organization of Latinos (SOL.) Through these organizations I am able to pursue my passion of helping to create a change. My majors also reflect my career goal of becoming an immigration attorney in the future. Through my sorority I was able to network and be hired as the assistant of an immigration attorney next semester and I am only a sophomore! Always try to make the best out of your college experience. If you have any questions about Greek Life, student organizations, or networking opportunities, I am definitely the girl to ask for!
Major: Business Management
Hometown: Kennan, WI
Bio: I may be a Management Major, but my real passion lies in hair. Styling, cutting, coloring, and studying hair always seems to cater to my interests. After graduating I hope to work at the corporate level at a well known Clipper Manufacturer or a Product Developer. My favorite city to visit is Washington DC and I hope to live there someday, despite the exceptionally high living and rent prices. I originally came to Oshkosh because they offered a Radio TV Film program, and I wanted to become a news anchor. I knew in my career that I wanted to be able to public speak and lead people. I transitioned to business management because I wanted to take a different path after graduation and also be more than just a face on the television to the people I speak and lead. If you want to talk business, the stock market, or about recreation on and off campus here in Oshkosh just let me know!
Hopefully this is a useful resource to help you find a student who will be best suited to answer your questions about UW Oshkosh!
